UM1 Backup is a personal utility. Its operator authorizes Google Drive access to maintain an encrypted Restic backup repository in the operator's own Drive account.
The OAuth client requests Google Drive access so rclone can list, read, create and update the backup repository. Restic encrypts backup data before upload. OAuth credentials are stored on the operator's private server with restricted file permissions. The utility does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
Encrypted backup objects remain in the account owner's Google Drive until the owner deletes them or applies the configured backup retention policy. The account owner controls Google Drive sharing and may revoke the app's access in Google Account security settings; revocation stops future backups but does not automatically delete existing objects.
The encrypted backup objects are stored in the owner's Google Drive. The utility does not provide a public account or intentionally share backup contents with third parties. Google processes data under its own terms when its Drive service is used.
